TANDUYONG FESTIVAL
4th Sunday of April in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija
On the festival day, the streets are filled with contingents of dancers, outfitted in the striking, multi-hued costumes. Exotic rhythms of improvised musical instruments fill the air as the dancers gyrate and sway to the beat of life. This is celebration every 4th Sunday of April, in time for their thanks giving for onion harvest.
ARAQUIO OF PENARANDA
May 8 in Venue Penaranda, Nueva Ecija
Held every 2nd Sunday of May, in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, the Araquio Festival is a traditional procession and dramatization of the finding of the Holy Cross by St. Helena and her son
TAONG-PUTIK FESTIVAL
June 24 in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija
Taong- putik originated from a unique practice of the devotees of Saint John the Baptist in Bibiclat, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija.
TSINELAS FESTIVAL
August 25 in City of Gapan, Nueva Ecija
To mark the anniversary of the town’s cityhood, Gapan City holds its annual Tsinelas Festival, with street dancing, parade of floats decorated with regular to gigantic 7 ft. slippers the famous slippers bazaar. The festival is aimed at bolstering the new city’s claim as the North Slippers Capital.
